Music - Thank you from the BIG ONE:
June 21~22nd, 2008

Surya and Temple Bhajan Band, Fontain's M.U.S.E., Amanda West, Singing Bear and AumiBus and hippie hill drummers and Jaya: Many many thanks from the Big ONE Vision Committee for your generous donation of beautiful sounds and energy last weekend out in GG Park. The decision to go acoustic, while difficult at the time, ended up being the right call both for monetary reasons and for sonic reasons as well, providing just the right music level for our audience while allowing our speakers and workshop leaders to share their work without interference. The music stage attracted lots of folks over the two days, and everyone played marvelously. One highlight was our decision to invite the hippie hill drummers to play. They stayed after their set at the request of Fontain's M.U.S.E. and we had a wonderful collaboration lighting up the meadow and the ears and eyes of all. The drummers all were dressed to the 9's adding a unique flavor. The drummers are ususally booted out of the meadow in other events so it was a special thing to include them. Best wishes for your creativity flourishing in the coming year. We hope to see you again for a future Big ONE. Peace, Alan T. Greg S.
